Hello, Im looking to move to philly by the end of the summer. I just receive my BS degree about a year ago and CT is just not working for me. I have no children and I want to start fresh in philly any suggestions im looking to rent an apartment for $1000 or less. Could anybody point me in the right direction and/or suggestions on what I need to keep into serious concideration. Oh and this would be my first place

Assuming you're working in Center City (downtown) you'll want to live there too as it will likely have most of the after-work fun you'll be seeking.

south of girard ave. is generally nice but expensive (closer to the art museum/fairmount area). north of girard is very sketchy, i would not recommend it if you are not familiar with the area or this is your first place in philly.

Fishtown is a nice spot as is Northern Liberties, very close to Center City
