Default Columbus to Bristol

Hope nobody minds me crashing this thread, but I also currently live in Columbus and might be getting a job in Bristol. I was wondering if anyone could give me information on the area, specifically the area south of Pond St between Basin Park and Walnut. The job is in this area, and I have seen apartment listings nearby as well as restaurants down closer to the river (I would probably get a second job as a server). I know absolutely nothing about the area...any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
