I always thought and feared that having kids is what makes time go by the fastest. I have been married for eight years with no kids and it has been the fastest 8 years of my life. I was wondering if I had kids would the next 20 years of life be a flash or go my slower . I sit different for everyone?
Another factor I noticed is before getting married my twenties seemed to go by very slow but I was very active always doing something. Since being married we do a lot less a lot of movie nights and time is flying by.
I also know time goes by faster the older you get because you have more memories and less time to look forward to.
But I am wondering if kids make time go by slower or faster?
Time flying by is scaring me causing anxiety. Side note I have OCD and I think I have been obsessed with time lately.

Kids, no kids, makes no difference, how much of your life do you want to squander with OCD.
It does not matter. Time creeps slowly when you are a child and passes like a lightening as your body gets older. Then, suddenly, you realize that you have much much less left ahead, than behind. Then, you turn spiritual.
I don't have kids but I've found that time seems to go faster the older you get, regardless of anything else going on in your life. Ex. even during my boring work week, it passes just as fast as the weekend. I think I'm undergoing a mid life crisis right now,
does anyone think time is going faster as the universe expands and when the universe stops time will stop then reverse and you will see your whole life again

Stop and reverse, not in my opinion.
But one of the greatest joys in life is making the memories. In my opinion and my life, I did this with kids and now grands. But, one of the stabilizing factors in relation to time has been my work. I have pretty much worked most weekdays and a few assorted weekends since 1972. I am slowly passing the baton to my son and enjoying more of the light duty work and worry. But, the work ethics I was taught, have made for a slower moving, more hands on approach to running (and some gunning along the way) my business. This slower pace of interacting with employees, customers, and family have made my life memorable and enjoyable. I could work ten more, or I could leave tomorrow, really my choice. What I am trying to put out there for you, is have a plan, work or play, and have goals incorporated into your daily, weekly and yearly plans. Even revel when you reach a goal, celebrate in some way to make a memory.
Not saying you are wasting time, maybe just not living in the here and now.
What a rude awakening it has been for me to realize there are so many things that I know I will not do because there's not enough time left nor the money.
