All these posts that say, "I'm thinking of moving to Phx, but I've never been there" crack me up.

113f was not the radio station I was listening to

I moved to Phoenix and I had never been here...Love it so far. To each his own though right?

I prefer the dry heat over the humidity so it doesn't bother me.

I'm with Mares, I moved here having never been here before and LOVE it. 113 is nothing compared to 85-90 with 85% humidity.

Yuma can be horrible. It get moisture surges from the Gulf and dewpoints reach the same numbers as Florida - along with 117 temps!

People who live in the SW desert notice the increase in humidity in July. To the newbies who are accustomed to much higher humidity, it might still seem dry. But to us, it is muggy and uncomfortable. To me, there is nothing worse here than the nonsoon-like weather we are now having where there is humidity but no rain and the temps soar. Bring on the rain or bring on September.

Well if this is the "bad" weather, I am relieved. I am a Midwestern newbie and this is bearable to us. Its so very hot and humid in the Midwest right now.
It does indeed still feel relatively dry to me and my family.
I visited twice, in Fall and Spring before we decided to relocate.

Lol. It is funny, my buddy had a friend who moved to the "New" Buckeye years back; from Michigan. She Absolutely hates it.

On another note. here's a pic for the people who are "thinking" about moving to the Desert.
This was taken last week

Durring the heat wave we had here on the East coast the other day it was 102*,dew point was 77 and the humidity was 85%. By 7:30 am at work it looked like I took a shower fully clothed. I can't wait to one day finally move out there, I'll take the 113* dry heat anyday.

Yeah, you guys had it rough there. But at least your heat wave ends after a few days. We don't reliably cool down below 100 until mid-September and some years even later. It do drag on some.
