Default Great suggestions!

Fry's has the best sales, consistently. The only time I ever got complimented on a plain old veggie tray I got my produce from Sprouts. Several people mentioned how fresh everything tasted. Great prices on produce and great quality. Henry's and Sunflower Markets are similar to Sprouts, depending on what you have in your part of town. Sprouts is also a great place to get meat when it is on sale!

Thanks for the links Mouser!

Not from Minnesota, not sure what the fuss is all about but saw this interesting story that pick my interest. Nice story on co-owners also - nationally-known medical malpractice lawyer in Bloomington, Minn.
Von Hanson's meets the needs of Minnesota lawyer
"In Chandler, Von Hanson's sells fresh beef, pork and chicken, grinds fresh hamburger daily, makes 70 types of sausage and smokes its own jerky. It also has a wild game processing service for hunters. Minnesotans likely recognize Von Hanson's signature red awning and pine-covered interior walls - as well as some traditional Minnesota brands and North Woods fare like walleye and sweet potato sausage in the freezers. Neese also seeks out and carries local brands that fit her store's format.
And an entire freezer case is devoted to healthful dog food and treats, including bones and pig ears.
................
But she is not shy about discussing what she views as her store's biggest accomplishment: 'It's our fresh jalapeño hamburger. It's just to die for."

Von Hanson's Meats and Spirits
Business: Traditional Midwestern meat shop.
Location: 2390 N. Alma School Road, Chandler.
National headquarters: Apple Valley, Minn.
Owners of Chandler store: Gene and Martha Neese
Year opened in Chandler: 2004.
Annual sales at Chandler store: $1.2 million."

I must check it out pretty soon - fresh jalapeño hamburger and the Garlic Mushrooms

PS: Oh - in LeeLee - just saw frozen frog legs last weekend if anyone is interested.

I was in the Eagan, MN Von Hansons this summer and was chatting with the girl at the counter who informed me that they had a location in Chandler

Never knew until then.

Pretty good stuff

I shop at Sprouts. I prefer the more natural things, when I can get and use them. Their meats and breads I find good too.

I do buy a few things at Costco. Their rotisserie chickens are huge, fresh, and a lot less money. I like to buy some of their frozen foods like Quiche there too, plus mayonaise, ketchup, and a few other bulk items. Love the cheeses too. Great price on them.
