Looking at the home sthat are furnished online I see lots and lots of homes with sectionals. My daughter was funny, when she was looking before she moved, she bought it to my attention that there were sectionals in many of the homes. Sooo...just wondering...what's up with that?

It's a requirement normally included in the CC&Rs for most HOAs.

I had a sectional that I wore out and had to get rid of. I still miss it to this day.

I now have a standard couch + loveseat and I hate it. My husband and I often retreat early to our bed to watch TV because the couches are so uncomfortable. I'd love a new one, but just can't afford $1K+ right now.

I think they are very comfortable for lounging and relaxing in. I also like that they can accomodate lots of people (and pets).

My parents bought one when JFK was in the White House. They just kept having it re-upholstered. Right out of Mad Men. It was fabulous.

We have a sectional you can have! Bought it at an estate sale (after inspecting it very closely) for $150. It is comfortable, but I hate the pattern and it does not go with our new carpet.

My opinion is, Phoenix is a much newer area. Most of the homes were built post-shoebox era, so there is plenty of space for large furniture that wouldn't fit in most homes--even nice ones--especially back east. It seems that even the largest older homes have rooms that are tiny. They just have more rooms.
