I want to know how the neighborhood is off of E. Greenway Rd. and N. 29th St.

Not the best. You need to go further east.

In that area, the farther east you go the better. I would suggest starting from 40th street.

some call that area "The Square"...it has a rep for being pretty bad, but it's not grinding poverty...it's been in decline for several years and probably won't be improving anytime soon....you need to look around, get a feel, see how yards are taken care of, are cars up on blocks?, any neighborhood pride??....

as others say, if you can get east of 40th St in that area, it'll be much better

The Square is also called the Palomino district - very slummish-looking if you ask me. Has been that way for a long time!!!!!

Do a search of this forum of "greenway square". It's been a nasty area for a long time

Thanks for the replies. Not looking to move there...I lived there for a while as a kid back in the mid-late 70s and thought to ask how it is now.

Hi Azdr...I do remember it being called Palomino but had completely forgotten that until it was mentioned above. Yes, sounds like quite a change to the area!
