I kill every rattlesnake i see with a shot gun! I honestly have seen more snakes in Montana than i ever have in arizona..

I didn't know they kept a database of all of the bites and stings. I do remember something on the news last year. It would make sense someone like the CDC would want to keep track. From what I hear, the snake anti-venom can cost up to $100,000 to treat for some species. This would be a bear to wrestle with for insurance.

What you heard on the price tag of treating a snake bite is true. It takes a lot of effort to make the antivenom, which is indicated in the price tag. Insurance companies will usually only cover it to a limited amount, too.

I've heard insurance companies will usually cover it, but only to a certain amount. $100,000 will take up most people's coverages very quickly!

On another note, I heard it can be very painful as well.
