Hello all,

Looking to purchase a home in Litchfield Park and came across some nice homes in Surprise around the Rancho Gabriella area between W Peoria and W Cactus Roads. The home on W Mescal was listed one week ago for 250k the other two on W Becker have been on the market for a while now with frequent price drops($275k). Wondered if anyone could chime in with what am I looking at area wise? I live in Montana and will visit the area this upcoming weekend, but your opinions count.

We have a 9 year old daughter therefore a good school is a priority. I might be working in Downtown Phoenix and seems that Route 60 is my straight shot traffic wise. Am I looking at more than an hour driving from Peoria Industrial park to Downtown? I guess I would have to do the driving on a weekday and that will not happen on this trip as I am coming back Monday morning.

Thanks for all the provided info !!!

I've lived here in Surprise for a little over two years. You want to make sure when moving here you look for schools in descent areas. My children are in a charter school here but we're zoned for Cimmaron Springs Elementary which is a high rated school. I've also heard that Marley Park is a nice school as well. I'm looking forward to what the future brings here since there are plans in the works to bring a huge mall, Super Wal-Mart, a Target (possibly Super Target), a new hospital and an entertainment district to the area around the 303 and Waddell / Cactus. This will be a welcome relief to those traveling down Bell to go shopping in Glendale and Peoria. If you need more detailed info please don't hesitate to ask.
