I just installed a new Master Flow 1540 cfm attic fan in my Phoenix house, and I would liek some advice. Where should I set the thermostat on this thing? The owner's manual recommends 105F, but as we know, a lot of one size fits all instructions are not best for Phoenix. Any suggestions? BTW, I've already recorded a 133.3F up there, so I'm hoping this will help to keep me cool and save $$$$.

that is the recommended but as you know out here it gets a lot hotter than that during the day in the summer months so if you set it at 105 that thing will be running constantly and not really making any difference. I would set it a little higher since you can not cool your attic lower than outside temp. Right now 100-105 is fine but once we start hitting the higher temps your prob going to need to kick it up to 110-120.

It should be at least 10 deg above ambient temperature. So if its 110 outside it should be set at 120+ . I found it most effective by running it manually/auto mode after the sun goes down as it cools the house faster for the night.
