Nevertheless, it`s apparent the welcome mat has been withdrawn for illegal immigrants in AZ. I think it`s a good bet many have left for states such as Cal. and TX and those who plan to cross the border illegally in the future will elect not to visit AZ.

Yes, AZ has a lot of problems but given the self-destructive path California is on AZ might be in a good position to benefit economically from their misfortune.

There`s nothing indicating that the Cal gov. plans to change the way it runs things. Right now public unions call the shots and they are in process of bankrupting the state.

It`s only a matter of time before more businesses and tax-paying residents flee which may well benefit AZ.
They already are. Have been for several years.

That's going to get old.

Phoenix could be a boom town for jobs with wages between $35,000 and $50,000. For the upper wages, it's a weekend community unless you are a surgeon, banker, lawyer, or upper crust business owner.

But I am looking forward to when the economy is real and not based on the RE ponzi scheme - construction type of work.
Well said. The dependance on real estate speculation and mindless, endless sprawl growth has to end for good. This downturn as a bitter pill might actually be the cure.
