I am wondering if anyone can give me an idea of the cost of some the private schools in the Scottsdale/Gilbert?
I'm looking at the Montessori schools for when he starts at age 5.

I know they will all differ but a rough idea of cost right up to high school would be great.

Thank You

Martin

Have you looked at any of the schools websites? That's not really top secret information, they will all have tuition posted for everyone to see.

Tuition can usually be found on the school's website. Generally speaking, any school that is not affiliated with a religious institution will cost more. IIRC, non religious affiliated schools in the area cost about $10K a year. This does not include schools like Phoenix Country Day which is more elite and more expensive. Catholic school would be about $6K for Catholics and $8K for non-Catholics.

BTW, there is a Montessori charter school in Chandler which would be free. Although I'm not sure how they apply the Montessori philosophy and comply with state guidelines.

There aren't many private schools to choose from here. There are so many options in the public schools and charter schools that most people don't even consider private school. But if you can afford private school, I'd highly recommend it. Class sizes are way too big here. Standards are lower because so many of the kids here are ESL and low income.
