I can remember last year when the transformers caught on fire at SRP, we thought for sure it would've been a few days at least before they managed to get the power back on..it took them a total of maybe 3/4 hours...I was impressed with SRP, they brought in all their workers to handle that problem.

I live in Central Phoenix, the power went out a few months back for about 5 minutes. I was not home, so this is the report of our neighbor.

The other day, less than a week ago, I was driving home and took the 51 to Camelback--the entire dealership stretch heading west was out of power--including the light at 12th St/Camelback but at about 7th St the lights came back on & were on where I live.

I use that example to show how power goes out in a very small area.

When I lived in a SRP area, the power went out a few times in a year--this was on the Phx/Scottsdale border.
