With the weather now being very warm, I was wondering, is anyone in the Valley using their air conditioners (or heat pumps on cooling mode) yet?

We haven't started ours yet, however, with the high temperature on Saturday forecast high to be 91 degrees (according to weather.com), we will perhaps think about it.

Turned mine on yesterday. It's set at 78 so it only comes on when it's really needed. This is also a good time to replace those "winter" filters.

No, I haven't turned ours on yet. I open the windows for a breeze and use the ceiling fans.

Me neither. We've got the doors and windows wide open to enjoy these great temps and fresh air!

Been using it off and on all winter. I have it set to keep the place at 71 at night so it comes on then. Set higher in the day, and so far, I don't remember it going off in the day.

wow all ready? youre gonna be hurting if you dont try to get used to it. Even during the hot days of summer, Im lucky to use mine for more than an hour or two in the morning. Once it gets that warm, all i plan on doing is putting the blankets back up over the windows; open em at night and close at sunrise or a little after is usually enough to keep it cool. My electric bill in the summer (for a 1 bd apt) was only $52 for the highest month.

You do a lot better on electric than me, that's for sure. I've been here for 40 odd years and know what's coming. I have a time of day with demand charge rate and the juice at night is very low cost. So why sweat it? I suffer at 80 during the day and cut back to 71 at night. I wanna freeze at night! My wosrt bill is a little over 300. I don't drink or party anymore so I have the money to stay cool. My cell phone bill is actually higher than my monthly budget plan electric payment is!
