I recently moved to Surprise and people keep telling me that we're getting a mall, which I found more info on the internet. But people are also saying a Costco and this and that.. I've tried to do some research and can't find anything. Does anyone know of the future retail coming to Surprise or know where I can find this info?
Thanks!

Info on the Mall in Surprise

I also heard about the Costco's and a Sams but I'm not sure when it will happen because both already exist a short distance away.

The mall from what I heard is suppose to be the biggest in America, surpassing the one in Minnesota. The Costco very well may be in the same lot or in the same area.

Costco sold the land to Sam's Club . Source: My mom asked a manager at the Arrowhead store.

The mall is breaking ground this year, and there will be a huge shopping center on Litchfield and Waddell that has a movie theatre and bowling alley. In addition, they're building a Desert Ridge-type mall right now at 163rd? and Grand. Apparently there are plans for two other movie theatres as well, but they won't start those until next year, which means it isn't a sure thing. The area of Bullard and Bell up to Greenway will be "downtown" Surprise. They're adding hotels, parks, and stuff to try and give Surprise a feeling of culture. The museum, spring training facility, fishing lake, library, aquatic center, and playground are already open.

Wink Sam's Club, The Prasada, Catholic Hospital and more

The Sam's Club is underway just east of the 303 off of Bell and I think it is suppose to open in December ‘07....The Prasada is a 4500 acre development which is suppose to be on both sides of the 303 from Greenway to Cactus. It is to have homes, an auto mall, restaurants, a Harkins Movie Theater (which is to open the end of ’08), the most preeminent mall in the valley and I think a Catholic Hospital...There seems to be a lot going on here…there is a Wallmart Neighborhood Market coming in on Greenway and Reems, The Bashas on Reems and Waddell, there is to be another Fry’s Marketplace on Cotton and Greenway. If you go to Official Website - Surprise, Arizona you can get some info (not much) on the following projects.

Asante Loop 303 and Grand/Retail and Pads

Prasada Loop 303 Greenway to Cactus/Mixed use

Stadium Village Southeast corner Bell & Bullard/Mixed use

Surprise Center Bell & Litchfield/Mixed use

West Point not sure where/Restaurants, Retail and Pads

Interfaith Community not sure where/Mixed use

All we need now is a Golden Spoon Yogurt Shop and we will have it all.

I hope this is helpful.
