The main complaint I had was what happened to the tickets you used to use to get in the rides?! They had the high tech card scanner where you put the amount you paid as credits on the card and the rider operators just scanned the card. I was so disappointed. I remember we used to have to tear the tix out and give 'em to the operators. Pooh!

Its a smart idea, but I agree the old ticket style was better.

I also won a guitar....very cheaply made but my son was thrilled.
Oooh. What do you have to do to win a guitar? I do prefer high quality guitars, like my alvarez, but I would love to win a cheap guitar for my son!

If you read my long post, you will see what you have to do to win. The sign says you have to throw the dart and hit the star, but apperently if it does not stick into the board, it does not count, so the sign is apperently wrong, and that rule exists, but is not posted anywhere near the booth.

Its a smaller guitar than normal, and it sounds like crap, but you can play a few songs on it.

I thought of this thread when I read this so I thought I would post:

We went to the fair here this year and had a GREAT time. Yes, we did on a Saturday (second Saturday after it opened) and YES we did go during the day. Not one problem. The rides were fun (and yes, expensive, but expect that), the food was fantastic, and the people were awesome. As we were leaving it was starting to get dark, and the lines were huge. If you go, I totally agree....go during the day.
