This is the first time we have been able to see the leading edge of a Haboob come directly over our house. I took some photos to share below. Just click on the thumbnails. One was taken from inside after we were surrounded by the dust. Visibility was reduced to a couple hundred yards, and less at one point.

Saw a good amount of dust in the air in Tempe, but none of that "leading edge". Cool pics!

Finally some real good rain here in NW Phoenix! My home rain gauge says 0.39" so far over the past 30 minutes or so but from the looks of the radar, there is a lot more to come. Anthem got it the best...0.98" - 1.85" in the last hour or so!

Awesome photos, guys! It's kind of neat to see Good Sam in the background since I don't live too far from there!

It's raining heavily here right now...always good for my grass and plants! (I just wish I had turned off my sprinklers earlier- oh well).

I'm also happy because it seems like the rain will help 'flatten' the dust we had earlier...maybe better breathing for everyone?
