We'll be back in Phoenix this weekend and are wondering where we might be able to watch the Grey Cup (CFL final for those who aren't familiar with football on the north side of the border ). Our home team is playing, Go Stamps Go, and we would like to cheer them on.

I see from the CFL website that it will air on NBCSN - I'm pretty sure we won't get this with our antenna, does anyone know if there is a bar (preferable Glendale / North Phoenix area) that would broadcast this?

It's also streaming on ESPN3.com - but I'm not sure how well this will work....

Any thoughts are appreciated!

NBCSN should be available at most sports bars - main problem is the game is on at 4pm local, so it's starting right as the late afternoon NFL games are ending

The good news is that 6 teams are playing thursday, 2 more on monday and most others are early on Sunday and will be over before the Grey Cup starts

So that leaves 3 games that start at 2ish and another game that starts at 6:30

In your area I'd call a place like Fox & Hound or Santisi Brothers and see if they'll be showing it .... both have extensive #s of TVs and run a pretty big NFL slate of games ..... or look at other such sports bars in the area that you like, just give a call as the weekend approaches

Another option would be to check to see if there are any local fan groups or bars dedicated to your team .... there have been a lot of Alberta plates out here the past couple of winters, so it may not be too much of a stretch ... check places like meetup.com as well

Awesome - thanks for the suggestions!

Tried to add some rep points for you Finger Laker...but apparently I "have to spread the love around" before I can give you anymore. I must agree with you quite often!

Called Armadillo and they were not sure but will check. Fox and Hounds enthusiastically said they will be showing it for sure.

Any bar with a lot of screens will likely be willing to put one on, including Hooters where I saw it...from my experience, you'll probably be the only ones looking at something that with the unfamiliar uniforms and big field comes across as bizarre to the many unwashed uninformed masses here. And at some point between the end of the afternoon NFL games and the Sunday night game, you'll be the only ones with a game to watchm further sewing confusion.

Berman's the *only* announcer on US media with a mind open enough to make mentions of the CFL, which based on previous years he'll probably touch on Sunday night as well as Monday night halftime.

anything but a hockey game. BTW, the Arizona Rattlers have a big following here. Most of us know about the CFL, too. Joe Theisman started up there, for one (of many). Heck, I was at the inaugural USFL game in 1983. I just checked the betting line on the CFL, and all I got was a message from Uncle Janet.
