Considering moving to Arizona. Have been peeking at realtor.com for the Gilbert area. So, what is the deal with the Mormon situation? Do they bother you in any way? I am serious. I want to know what I would be getting into before I moved.

To the OP, you can find a nice home in plenty of communities in AZ for $350.000. as for the Mormons...I don't have a problem with them nor do I know much about them. I'm Catholic and it doesn't bother me to live near Mormons. Is that why my neighbors lock them selves in their houses and don't socialize? LOL Well,if anyone can school me on their culture,I'd appreciate it.

That will not be an issue. I have quite a few mormon friends (I am not one) and while they have their own functions, they are not obtrusive, rude or disrespectful. They are people like you. I don't think it will be a problem.

They won't be rude to you but they may not be overly friendly either. Children being excluded tends to be the main issue. I would caution not moving to the neighborhoods immediately surrounding where the new temple is being constructed - you will probably find an abundance of Mormons living in those neighborhoods and thus have some exclusion from neighbors. Other than that, there are no issues.
