Cave Creek is a nice town in the far northern reaches of the metro area. It's about 12 miles from the far northern parts of Phoenix and it borders north Scottsdale. As far as hospitals go the closest medical center I'm aware of is Desert Foothills Medical Center which is in N. Scottsdale just south of Cave Creek. You also have the Mayo Clinic which is also in N. Scottsdale. The schools in Cave Creek are decent from what I hear and the class sizes are small. You shouldn't have a problem at all finding a serving job at a restaurant. There are nice/casual restaurants all over the place in that area(Cave Creek, Carefree, N. Scottsdale). However if you plan on driving to Phoenix or any other area in the metro area on a regular basis then you might want to steer clear of Cave Creek. It is far from the rest of the valley. If you plan on stating in the Northern areas of the metro area then Cave Creek should suit you just fine. Good luck!

You stated you would like to work in the medical field, but doing what? There certainly are many doctors offices and several urgent care centers in and around Cave Creek. The two nearest hospitals are Scottsdale Healthcare at Scottsdale Rd. & Thompson Peak Pkwy and Mayo Clinic Hospital at 56th St & Mayo Blvd. Also Paradise Valley Hospital at Bell Rd & 40th St and John C. Lincoln at 27th Ave Beardsley are not too far of a commute.

If you want to work as a server then Desert Ridge Marketplace has numerous restaurants and there are several hotels and resorts in the area.

You aren't going to find work IN Cave Creek (and, not a lot of apartments compared to other areas). I wouldn't be wanting to make a commute to and from there every day when there are so many other options closer in. When you come out here in April and look around, you will be hopefully able to narrow your search areas and focus your questions more.

I remember your posts on the subject a few weeks ago. IMO just chill while you are staying with your cousin, since she lives in the center of town, find a position, and then search for a place to live.

Finding an area first just won't work. I can understand your concerns, but looking for an area to live in before you have a job, is like spending money before the check clears the bank.

There are PLENTY of places for you to choose to rent ONCE you get hired, know where you will be working, and how much you will be getting paid. It won't be a problem.

Thats the problem i seem to be having is finding a job from MN. I have had plenty of call backs but they all want me to be in AZ for interviews, which is the hard part.

I know that's a quandry. Taking time off from your present job if you can, or quitting your present job and coming out here to look for a replacement one.

Honestly thats what I might end up doing is quiting my job and just coming out there.... I dont think i will have ahard time finding a job. I always have serving as a back up if i dont get in the medical field right away. Just finding the right area to move to is hard especially if your not from there. My cousin lives in Central Phx by Indian School Rd and my friend will be living in cave creek apartments so hopefully when I get down there I can look around.

When I was down there in Feb I went to mesa and did not care for it, I also viwed Tempe which was a cool area.... I want to see chandler and good year or even just stay in Central Phx, not sure.
