We get a lot of posters here seeking advice as to why they should consider relocating to the Phoenix area. I just thought I might post this link as a reminder why many of us relocated:

My niece is in the UK right now with her boyfriend. The weather's been so bad they have cabin fever from not being able to leave the house. One problem we don't have here... not even in the summer.

Yeah I'd like to multiply some rep points to the OP, wish I could get there sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the reminder of why I moved. This is a great video for those who think snow is just pretty and fun!

Yeah, but what about summer???

Its all about hiding out in the house with that AC on blast while others elsewhere are enjoying themselves.

As someone with a bum knee, I do not miss slipping on ice. Every damn winter! Shoveling, car skidding out of control, doors frozen shut. It was a winter storm in early late '09 or early '10 that finally influenced me to make my childhood dream of moving to AZ come true. Came out here in July '10 and I have no plans of leaving.

The summer heat has never prevented me from doing what I want. I drink water, put on a hat and wear sunscreen. There's no safe harbor from the cold and hazards of winter unless you stay indoors.
