can I park my car in a city parking lot (Phoenix) and post a for sale sign? I don't see any other cars in parking lots with for sales signs so I assume it is against the law here?

I seem to remember driving by certain places where individuals parked cars that were for sale. They were always there. So I guess no one cared. Whether that is still true or not, I don't know

Like the above said I see random for sale cars in parking lots or like at gas stations in the corner near the intersection quite frequently. It really depends on the owner of the business I mean obviously if you're going to do it don't make it noticeable and leave your car parked all day. If it's there for only a few hours the owner or strip mall security more than likely won't care especially if it's a huge parking lot.

Keep a sign in it all the time. People will see it when you park somewhere. Also remember, for the immigrant car buyers, and they buy a lot of cars, a big white shoe polish dollar sign and phone number on the back window is a universal for sale sign.

be really *really* careful with this - the law is pretty sketchy regarding having vehicles towed & there are some tow companies that have made a business of towing for profit - if you have business somewhere & there happens to be a sign in the window, you shouldn't have a problem, but I wouldn't roll into just any lot and leave your car facing traffic with a big sign in the windshield.
