I second the suggestion to go somewhere besides the Compass for dinner....go have a drink and look at the view there, but there are better places for a special occasion dinner in downtown Phx

I wouldn't pick the Compass for dinner, either. Go for coffee, drink, dessert, whatever, after dinner.

Head up to Dobbins Overlook on South Mountain just before dark. The view and the city lights at night are breathtaking!
