The lines don't move, they just often have no relationship to city boundaries. School districts are separate governmental entities.

District boundaries don't move. Attendance areas for each school within a district do, sometimes, as populations and enrollments change, schools are closed, new schools built, etc.

There was more in last night's news on the topic. Is the situation getting better or worse at this point with the Gilbert school board?

Yes! Thank you for your recognition of the nepotism that occurs in just about ALL of Gilbert. If you are interested in applying with the Gilbert police or fire department, you have about zero chance; unless you are Mormon. IF...you fall into a group of minority, which they MUST hire, then you may stand a chance of being the "token" fill in the blank... Even though the teachers who have left the schools are not talking; and when they are it is vague, attributing it to political issues. There is a HUGE religious component. Unfortunately, in Gilbert there is not much of a defined line between religion and politics. There certainly should be; a division between church and state; this is an ideal and not a reality. I am very happy some attention is being brought to this issue. It is wrong. Point blank period. Yet...in a free country; I suppose if you are Mormon, Gilbert is for you! If not, luckily, there are many nice places in Arizona where you may relocate, enroll your children in school, and seek employment without having to worry about being discriminated against, not being considered at all due to nepotism and being an outcast in the "community" you are not really part of.

Isn't nepotism favoritism based on being a family member? Is it still called that for religious favoritism?
