I'm moving to the Phoenix area soon. I'm a single 28-year-old female and of course want to make sure that were I live is not only nice, but safe. I've narrowed my apartment search down to these four places, all within near proximity of my new job. I'm not able to make a visit there before moving, so I'm really doing this sight-unseen. Can anyone offer any info on either these specific apartments or their areas in general? If I were your 28-year old daughter, would you want me living in these places? I've done quite a bit of research and there seem to be good and bad things about each one. In no particular order, they are...

1. Parkwood Apartments in Phoenix (W. Indian School Rd. & N. 67th Ave.)
2. Lunaire Apartments in Goodyear (W. Van Buren St. & S. Estrella Pkwy.)
3. The Paseo Apartments in Goodyear (W. Indian School Rd. & N. Pebble Creek Pkwy.)
4. The Club at Coldwater Springs in Avondale (W. Van Buren St. & N. Avondale Blvd.)

And while I'm at it, I might as well ask. Does anyone know of apartments around these places that do NOT allow pets? I can't even google search it because all that comes up is "pet-friendly." This would not make or break my decision, but it'd be nice to find at least one to consider.

Thanks!

No 1 - definite no. Rough neighborhood.
No 2,3 - definite yes. Upscale, close to amenities. The Estrella Prkway one has very easy access to freeway for getting around.
No 4. Maybe. I'd want to do more research. 2,3 are better choices for sure.

Agree with Ponderosa 100%. Stay far away from no 1....bad area even during the daytime. I live right by #2 & 3....nice areas with close amenities. No 3 borders the retirement community of Pebble Creek, no2 is right around the corner from the spring training facility in Goodyear....done,for this year, but next spring would be nice.

Thank you both for the responses! I've spent my entire weekend researching and calling places. I was leaning mostly toward #2, and now I think you've made the decision clear. Just what I needed!

Great information from Ponderosa, couldn't agree more. The only question between those choices is between option 2 and 3.

I know someone who used to work at #2. She loved it and said it was a great community. I'm sure you will be really happy there.

I was going to recommend either the number two or three location you wrote but you made a good decision.

Your first and fourth choice, not in very good areas especially the first one.

2 and 3 are both better than others and i think 3 is best.
