The two things that occur to me are:

With something as important as your eyes, do you really want to place the highest priority on saving money?

You choose what you like, and what looks good on you. Part of the process of becoming an adult is having your own taste.

Getting the glasses for the best price (and still getting the work done well) is one thing. The eye exam is something else. Never been to an optometrist in my life. An opthalmologist, always.

Have been going to Walmart for about 10 years and although the docs have changed and moved on, I have always gotten great prescriptions there. Didnt like their frames this time around, so went to another place to have it filled.

I purchased two new pairs of eyeglasses at Costco last week and picked then up yesterday. I do not like the fit, look and the fact that I can see the frame through them. Are they good about this or will it be an uphill battle?

I can't speak to glasses specifically, but Costco has one of the most favorable return policies of any retailer. I don't think you'll have a problem at all. Their customer service is usually stellar.
