Was back at Fry's last night and grabbed a couple lemons. Lemons were $.69 each and Limes were down to $.79 each which is a ten cent drop from the day prior. The ones they had didn't look very good so I don't know if they lowered the price to clear out old ones that were not selling or if the prices are coming down.

Even the key limes had doubled in price and were 5 for a dollar which I can normally get 10 for a dollar at Fry's.

Great reminder about Food City, always a cheap place for limes and avocados. I'll have to swing by there.

You should do something while the price is so high. Travel from bar to bar and get hammered in exchange for a couple limes.

I don't know if it is the case here, but where I used to live, avacados were always way cheap just before cinco de mayo. Same goes for limes (when there isn't a shortage). Dos Equis and Corona should be on sale as well.

It is the same idea as putting red potatoes and cabbage on sale for St Patrick's Day.

Preppers, in case of the dollar collapsing, stockpile your bunker with limes.

This is true and we'll be selling all of those like crazy this week. We have the small bags of the small limes but I don't remember how much they were. Avacados went up to .68 yesterday.

I think limes were $2.99 a pound at Food City when I went last week. Still cheaper than Fry's but considerably more expensive than they usually are at Food City. Plus they were smaller than usual

0.49 for a lime this eve at Trader Joe's in Tucson (was there for other stuff)....a big stack and nobody rushing to grab 'em....

admittedly, they were maybe a quarter or so each before the current "crisis".....

headed to Food City now to get other produce and check prices there.....good place for produce aside from growing your own
