I was in my back yard this weekend and noticed almost every square inch is crawling with a small roundish type of bug. The are very small, like ****-ant sized. If you look down, they are crawling all over the rocks. The brick wall has millions of them crawling in and out and above the wall which leads me to suspect our whole street is infested. They are too small and move too fast to get a good picture. I sprayed bug spray and came back an hour later...it didn't even phase them. Any insight on what these might be, I have never seen them before and they are starting to enter the house

A couple years ago, while mowing my lawn I noticed these little back bugs all over my lawnmower and when I looked they were on my legs and all over my yard. I immediately thought they were fleas and thought we were infested with fleas. I called my exterminator and he came over and said they were Springtails and treated the lawn with some granules which got rid of them. He said they are found in irrigated areas and that is why they picked my yard with the irrigated lawn.

They looked similar to this...

Well I will go home and see if I can check them out. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Hopefully that is all it is.

Probably springtails...ugh. We just went through a backyard infestation of them all around our pool/spa. Our bug guy came and sprayed them twice and then we finally covered the whole area with DE and that made them go away. We are hoping they stay away, we couldn't use the pool or spa for weeks.
