I need help finding an apartment in Chandler, AZ as I am moving there in a few months from South Dakota. I'm going to visit soon to look at apartemnts but I would take any advice or recommendations that anyone has. I'm a single 25 year old female. I like to go out and hope to be able to meet other young professionals but also still live in a quiet safe neighborhood. Any suggests for location or specific apartmets would be greatly appreciated OR any apartments to avoid because of past problems please let me know. Thanks!

Chandler/South Tempe(well all of Tempe) is a fairly educated area and you shouldn't have a problem at all meeting other young professionals. There are a plethora of nice apartments in Chandler. I can't really recommend any but I would look around Chandler Fashion Center which is a pretty bustling place on the weekends and you can meet people at the hangouts around there. There's nice complexes on Price Rd which is right off the 101 Freeway between Warner Rd&Chandler Blvd. There's also another nice complex that looks inexpensive near McClintock&Chandler Blvd. I'm sure someone will chime who's more knowledgeable about the apartments in the area. You can also look in South Tempe as well which literally borders Chandler. Quite a few people in their twenties around there.

You need to include a price range.... And what amenities you are looking for.

I'm a big fan of the Mark Taylor properties. They are a very reputable company with luxury apartments all over the valley. They have several in the Chandler and South Tempe areas. The ones in Tempe will be pushing your budget even for a one bedroom; they jack the prices up to take advantage of the college market. Because of that, you would probably want to avoid those, especially the complexes closest to the university. They are louder.

Like someone said, being around the Chandler mall would probably appeal to you more than going south of the 202, which is much more family-oriented, though very peaceful and quiet. Mark Taylor has 2 properties by the mall

Apartments in Chandler | Club Cancun Apartments - Location | Chandler Arizona Rentals
One Bedroom Apartments in Chandler AZ | San Cervantes - Location | Chandler Rental

They both have easy freeway access, if that is important to you. You would have to call about a W/D in unit, but because their complexes are usually considered luxury apartments, there's a good chance they have them in unit.

Here is the list of all their AZ properties broken down by city. You can see the ones in Tempe all start around $1,000 for a 1/1, while most of the Chandler properties are significantly cheaper.

Default Apartment thoughts...

Michelle - get in touch with me privately, please. I live in a secure, well centered in Chandler, lovely apartment complex. Well under your budget - yet with all the amenities - i.e. washer and dryers are included in almost every apartment rental in Chandler. Just a basic fact. I have a lake with ducks swimming in it - with a walking trail - and birds twittering every morning. I'm not a realtor - nor renting agent ... Linda (I only moved to Chandler in March and I love it!!!!!)
