I posted about this in another section as well but I figured maybe someone here would have some localized insight.. I'm moving to Cave Creek from CT next month and need to have my Harley shipped out; I'm looking for the most cost-effective way to do that. The quotes I've gotten thus far have been between $650-750; I'm wondering if anyone knows of any company that may be on the cheaper side.

Thanks in advance for any and all replies!

Like with moving furniture, the place to look for a shipper is where you are, not where you are going.

Do you have movers moving the rest of your stuff out? If so, I'd check with them first to see if they can put it in the moving van. That's how I got my two bikes out here. I had to drain the fuel but other than that, it was a non-issue.

I built a rack for two motorcycles in a Ryder truck and drove them from Arkansas to Denver while pulling a pickup on a trailer. I loaded them at a grocery store truck ramp and unloaded them on a hill at a park in Denver. The truck ramp was too steep. I stopped at KOA campgrounds and slept in the back with the bikes. We were allways very close. lol
After delivering the pickup I rode back to Arkansas with a friend that went with me.
