Is there any need for a locksmith business on the west side? Specifically in the Surprise area, Peoria, Glendale. If you lived in those areas would the wait be long to get a locksmith to your business or home?

The waiting time would be 1-2 hours or less. My neighbor, on Xmas day, locked their keys in the car and a locksmith was out within an hour.
There are quite a few locksmiths in and around Surprise. But the way Surprise and surrounding areas are growing, you may find suitable work or business in the area.

I needed a locksmith about 3 weeks ago and they were out within the hour. There are some very established locksmiths in the northwest valley. Your best bet may be Surprise or even Avondale is really growing.

I don't know how it is in Arizona, but in California you need to be licensed by the state. Those with a criminal record can not get a license. I have a California Contractors license as well. My preference is toward commercial properties. Mostly hish end work. Automobiles are something that I gave up on long ado. Many of the car companies want the work for themselves. I decided to develop my carreer in the commercial property side and have never looked back. That brought me to working in the Hospital industry for the past 10 years. During that time I also earned a Bachelors degree and will soon have my MBA. Although my carreer is changing, I would like to have my own business and want to see how the market is.

We needed a locksmith in Surprise two years ago, and he was there within an hour. Found him in the yellow pages. If you start a locksmith business, you'll want to expand your services to the entire west valley. Surprise is only so big.
