SO, after what has been a pretty dang spectacular most of January - even for our standards (I mean I was golfing the last few weeks in shorts) - it figures that just when the spotlight starts to really shine on us the rain starts!

Now, granted - its not the "great blizzard of 2015!" (whatever) - but it is a shame that the skies wont be perfectly blue and temps in the 70s like it has been for the golf and Superbowl.

I mean even in Omaha, NE its going to be close to 60 today! However it is going to cool down there by the weekend...

Anyway - little rain leftover today and then more scheduled for Friday/Saturday.

SO FAR (fingers crossed) - the big game forecast is sunny and 65 degrees!

It is a bummer. The forecast for the Phoenix open is not looking good.

The last Super Bowl was crappy, too. Thats just the nature of the beast here in winter. More rain is forecasted later this week as well. Looks like Super Bowl Sunday will be clear.

I was thinking the same thing, it's a bummer that Friday and Saturday it's supposed to rain as I imagine that's when most people are coming into town. At least Sunday and the days following it's supposed to be sunny and 70º or higher.

More effect on the golf than the football. Still beats the 3 feet of snow the Patriots homies have in Boston.

Figures it starts raining this week!
Not to worry. Arizona rain is no big deal.

If all of those so-called experts who were hyping up the "historic winter storm of the Century" in the northeast can be wrong (which they usually are), Arizona's Super Bowl week will be just fine - even with rain.

In any case, people prefer an Arizona with rain, than a "back home" with ice, sleet, snow, and cold, colder & coldest temps.

No cabin fever here, except during July! Enjoy Super Bowl week; get a little wet, and enjoy Super Bowl week.

I don't understand the purpose of starting an entire thread to complain about a little bit of rain, we need it don't we?

Be happy you're here with scattered clouds and periodic showers, you could be in New England freezing and bailing out from several feet of snow.

Luckily University of Phoenix Stadium has a retractable roof, so should it rain on Super Bowl Sunday that can be fixed with closing the roof.

It has been a pleasant January. My daffodil bulbs and daisies are mixed up and are blooming now!
