Is there anyone that lives in Mesa Arizona familiar with the areas there?
How is the area Main & N Greenfield like?

I look at the map and it looks like a lot of people are out there but how is it?

I've no idea what your REAL question is. As stated, it's way too broad.

But, yes, there are lots of people out there (I lived at brown and Ellsworth for 5+ years). It's absolutely surburbia; albeit thetre are some homes with unusually large lots abd Still a few orange groves

I think Mesa is the 38th largest city in the U.S. So there are a lot of people for sure but it doesn't feel like a big city to me coming from NY.

Lots of old folks, close to all the retirement trailer parks. I have heard the area is on the upswing though. I know they bulldozed some of those big retirement trailer parks for a master planned community.

It's so-so... Mesa is a dump, in all honesty.

First post, you don't live here, and you describe an entire very large city with one word. Moving on....

Sections of Mesa may be "dumpy" but the entire city is certainly not a dump. It's a big city with nice sections and not so nice sections like any other big city.

Thank you. Those trolls I swear LOL. I overall like my area and am considering renewing my lease and staying for a third year. In retrospect, different shooting a mile away or less on the news quite a bit in the last few months starting with the crazy skinhead dude arrested across the street from me.. Was quiet for the last 2 years. Mind you I'm on the Tempe/Mesa border which is a pretty iffy part of town anyway. Anything south of the 60 or along the NE corridor of town is very nice here. Along the West side of Mesa it's pretty block to block. I've lived in crappy areas and very nice areas in the past, I like my location overall and have never been affected by a crime living here. I'm definitely somewhere between crappy and nice. Very middle class neighborhood. I like it enough to stay. Considering an outskirt area when I finally do move mostly because I'm more of a semi-rural area kind of guy than urban.

I lived in east Mesa for a few years, over by Sossaman and University. I really liked east Mesa. It is built up and there are some really pretty areas. I never felt unsafe and in fact 10.5 years after I last lived at the location the apartment complex I was in is STILL top rated. I'd happily live in east Mesa again.

I have lived in east Mesa now for 20 years. I have lived in north Phoenix for another 20 years. I like east Mesa. If I was going to move I would move to the San Tan Village area around the 202/101.
