What's there to hate about the Valley? Great weather, access to every outdoor activity you can imagine, professional sports, great nightlife in Tempe and Scottsdale, fishing and water skiing... it's fantastic!

1. Lack of support for education (Don't tell me about Basis as they severely underserve Sped and ELL
2. Traffic - Driving habits from all over the country cause issues (people driving slow in the fast lane).
3. Sheriff Joe and his corrupt policing policies (A county Sheriff should not be the states most powerful politician)
4. A lot of fringe/weirdos reside in the state (some hold office)
5. Lack of Casinos on the West Side (changing soon I hope)
6. Weird law that makes Fantasy games illegal (Yes, Fantasy football or ESPN March madness pool are illegal). You can't play Draft Kings or other fantasy games if you reside in Arizona (Bill legalizing fantasy sports in Arizona fails)

Surprised to hear someone complain about the libraries. I am happy with the County Library system. Good selection and quick response when ordering. I have been to several of their events. Angels in Art was very good.

As other posters have said, people complaining about the heat, politics, etc. You should have found out before you moved here. If it is that bad why stay?

Agreed, I'm an ultra right-wing conservative gun owning Jew, and Phoenix seems a little too liberal for me
