Does anyone have any thoughts on the 19th ave and Baseline intersection? I saw an extremely great deal on a house in a newer subdivision here, it's also pretty close to work. I know it's close to some sketchy areas but is this area safe?

19th Ave south of Baseline is better...North of Vineyard it gets worse and between Southern and Broadway is a absolute crap area.

It's a patchwork over there. One of the nicer areas of town is directly south of that Intersection, but some of worst areas of town are directly north of it.

It's also important to note that this is one of the most heavily polluted and industrial sections of town hence the bargain.

It's a matter of what you're willing to put up with, you'd be pretty close to DT and to the Interstates as well as South Mountain and the wide open desert behind it.

Just like most of the valley, you will have bad areas amid great areas. Where we live is pretty much a bubble, if you pull up the crime maps, you'll see we appear to be surrounded by crime, but our neighborhood is great! Almost anywhere centrally located you will have a similar situation.
