Hi,

I have a long layover at PHX tomorrow night and if I have to spend another minute in the AC it will kill me.

So I thought maybe to jump in a cab and hit Chilis for food & a brew or three

Nearest one seems to be at 400 W. University in Tempe - any issues with a middle aged guy in business casual spending a couple hours at that location ?

Thank you !

J

Nah you're fine. Not sure why Chilis that area has better bars and restaurants but to each his own.

Yes, you must really like Chili's.

There are certainly other choices within a few blocks, on Mill Avenue. But yes, you will be fine at that location.

Thanks for the info.

It's just that Chili's is familiar and I will be dragging a rollaboard so would rather go and come back to one place in a cab...

There are, more all the time, but he wanted specifically to get out of the terminal.

A lot of people may not realize that Sky Harbor has many really good sit down restaurants, not just pretzel places, Starbucks, and McDonald's. It sounded like he just had a couple of hours, and getting out of the airport then back in with that short amount of time (and through security again) is such a big hassle IMO, I thought it was worth mentioning.

Nothing wrong with mentioning it, but he said he had a long layover and wanted to get out of the building. I'm guessing longer than two hours since he talked about two hours AT Chili's; you are right, for two hours or less it's not worth leaving.
