I think it really depends where in Scottsdale. While I would say as a whole Scottsdale is conservative, it does have pockets, like near Old Town and the border near Tempe. North Scottsdale, for an example where my family lives close to Shea and the 101, Phoenix Open golf course, Troon area just south of Carefree, are pretty conservative.

To be fair though I would say the whole Phoenix metro is like that, mostly conservative with some big or small liberal pockets.

I didn't say they were either right or wrong, that was just their observation from living in Scottsdale for almost 40 years. You know what they say about opinions, they are like bungholes, everyone has one!

I'd go more with moderate overall with some very strong conservative areas and a few liberal pockets.
