When we looked at new build homes here in Surprise (in the west valley) I noticed that Greer Ranch didn't include a gas cooktop or gas line to the patio for a grill as options. I was shocked when the builder's rep told me there was no gas service at all in that development. I've lived in seven states in cities large and small and that was a first!

Cannot state for the Phoenix area, however, No Gas Complexes here in Tucson are fairly common.NOT WORTH THE RISK as far as I am concerned.
