I can adjust anywhere. I lived in the desert areas for about one third of my life. I've lived in very cold climates (northeast, also in the Sierra Nevada mountains) for a few years. I don't think about heat or cold. I have A/C and I have a furnace. I don't wait for mother nature to let me be comfortable. I control my comfort. It takes me less than a minute to walk between my car and my apartment or my car and my office or the workout place. I think I am outdoors less than ten minutes per day. So it does not matter if it's 20 degrees or 115 degrees.

It always strikes me funny about people who quibble about those ten minutes out of 1440 minutes per day that they absolutely feel uncomfortable. The flip side of the coin are the people who insist on paying $1,000,000 for an ocean view home and having only $10,000 saved for retirement, so that they do not have to pay the $250 per month A/C in Phoenix from mid-April to October in a $175,000 house!

I'm uncomfortable from April until mid-November. Not to say that evenings and morning can't be comfortable during the fringe months, but I can't stand the heat for those months. Sometimes I wonder if it is even the heat or just the intensity of the sun. Very little cloud cover.

None if you have a pool and don't have to work in it.
Without a pool and having to drive without air or work in the sun I would say May to October.
I start noticing the air conditioning bill climbing a steady climb by late April and not trickling down until November though. Thats really my main concern regarding the heat otherwise your just leaping through 110 on your way from one air conditioner to the next.

I've been here for 3 1/2 summers.

The anticipation of living where it was so gosh-darn hot was MUCH worse than actually living/dealing with it. I'm not even dreading summer this year. Yup! I'm a Zonie!

Can't wait for those warm nights out in the pool, chiminea fired up with some pinon, and steaks on the grill.

Twilight golf rates start at 1:00pm, the zoo has more critters than people in it, and the cactus starts bloomin'.

Yeah!

Yep, once you get acclimated to it you welcome the warmth a little. I get cold when it's 70. The anticipation of most things are worse, I agree!
