You know I ride my bicycle all the time but sometimes I get to drive the kids to school etc. I noticed a lot more construction trucks and trucks in general on the roads recently. Is this a sign that the economy here is finally taking off? Or just a coincidence? - I mean I have not noticed this many trucks in years. What do you guys think.

Finally? The economy has been booming for years. There is a call center on every block. Many pay 14-15 an hr and you do not have to go through the east coast bureaucracy. If I have to live under the 1-10 bridge on extension by the golf course I am gonna do it. Because I know I will find a job! Phoenix -Mesa I will return. I love you. I miss you

Technology sector is booming, companies relocating to the everyday has been well documented.
There's a article in the news today detailing the critical shortage of construction workers in the Valley.
All national indicators have Arizona either number 1 or top 5 in jobs. Help wanted signs everywhere.
What I'm impressed the most is the Valleys growing IT reputation.
Get ready for more people relocating....

That's what I'm hearing a lot, and from different professions. I have not seen a real boom in a long time and happy we are at least approaching one.

School lunch should be free period. Surprised it is not in a nation as rich as the US. But we also know that even in boom times the fate of the poorer economic strata does not hold up with that of the richer ones. The same may be happening in our Phoenix boom(let) right now.
