This has nothing to do with USPS, it's not delivered to every house on the street and comes on Sundays, sometimes Wednesdays too.

I was getting some Scottsdale newspaper dumped on the end of my driveway. I emailed the city's "Neighborhood Resource Center Manager" and she emailed her contact at the paper, copied me, and the deliveries have stopped. Perhaps your city has a similar contact.

Just got a reply from the VP of Advertising minutes after I emailed him. He said he'd pass my note along to the appropriate persons. I suppose there's a lag time for something like this to take effect, but at least I finally have a response in writing.

Go here to stop delivery of YES: YES, Your Essential Shopper

Just did it myself. Hate opt-out junk mail. Such a waste.

Would there be a problem in just picking them up twice a week and dropping them in the recycling bin?

Yes. People are throwing garbage onto my property. Why should I have to deal with it? Apparently it's no effort at all for you, so why don't you come over and deal with it?

It is if you're a snowbird and they keep littering your property with their junk!

I constantly have to clean off the driveway and the front doors of a few neighbor friends who are snowbirds. This is a huge magnet for thieves that the house is vacant. What really gets me is the realtor flyers they shove in your door. You'd think they out of anyone would know better!
