We are allowed to leave Sun City. We go to restaurants all over The Valley. We go to sporting events all over The Valley.
Speaking of sports, any Raiders fans out here in Sun City? That's my team.

Sun City (the original one), isn't an affluent community. Most of these residents are middle class mid-westerners seeking cheap retirement, many of them having spent their careers in blue collar work. I've never seen so many Kias before. The houses are cheap. I scored a 3 bedroom a few years ago for a little over $140,000. I don't play golf, but they have a real good deal on golf membership.

With such a low cost of living here, I'm surprised I haven't seen any older blacks, or Hispanics or Asians retiring here. Is it a cultural thing, do other races tend to stay in their original homes throughout their lives?

Just curious that's all, I'm not on an agenda to diversify my neighborhood.

Because for the last 50 years sun city has been a retirement destination for primarily middle class/blue collar retirees from the Midwest. most of these people are white, the US is still like 60 or 70% white and many Hispanics are pretty indistinguishable from white people especially once all your hair turns grey. The only other large racial group is black people and many of them probably didn't/don't have the economic ability to move across the country from the east coast and retire in Arizona.

This is correct.

Also, Sun City isn't at all "isolated" from the rest of Phoenix as it was when it was first built. Now it's squarely in what most would call an infill location within the metro, with easy access to most amenities thanks to the 60, 303, and 101.

Seems pretty beige to me.
