jacaranda are nice trees but I think they look much better in cooler summer areas like San Diego where they are much fuller and bloom much longer. In the low desert if you get a few weeks of flowering, you're doing well.

Lots of nice shade tree options here that are fuller/are much better adapted to our weather and many are low water users.
