So the time has come to retire our aging plaster pool finish and upgrade to one of the newer pebble surfaces... does anyone have a good recommendation for a pool remodel companies in the PHX area.

Almost all of them have pretty bad Yelp reputations... might be skewed by complaints but definitely not encouraging.

I've sort of shortlisted CDC, Shasta, Barefoot, Thunderbird and E&E. Wondering if any of you good people have any experience or pointers

Thanks all!

Thanks asufan. California Pools looks good. Definitely, will have them quote me. Missed them in my searches. So appreciate the point!

No experience with remodeling, but California pools did original build on my pool, and I was very unhappy with their work, cost, and customer service.

Look at Superior (Superior Pool Plastering, Inc. | Home). I had mine done last summer and they did a good job. I'll pm you the number for the sales guy...he's the one that really made sure everything was done correctly. They were very flexible as far as scheduling, helping me get some crack repairs done, and me waffling on the pool surface type.
