Not on the same scale but Goodyear has a free music festival this Saturday by the lake in Estrella:

And there is Country Thunder this weekend too.

Not quite Coachella but looked like they had a good turn out. Country Thunder is pretty good as well but I would venture to say that it will be a different crowd . Wear sunscreen.

People are enjoying their time at Hance. The lineup was solid. The only thing fake is the fact that it's not actually at McDowell Mountain.

Yeah, nothing pisses me off more than people out doing things, having a good time with their friends and enjoying our beautiful city.

Some people are just miserable.

I was just trying to show, for all the Urbanites out there, that AZ has some music festivals as well. May not be Red Rocks, may not be Coachella but there are some happenings around town. Chandler Jazz Fest was last weekend as well. Not really my thing either but let's not over think this one...if it is not your scene, that's fine. I am sure most of the Roosevelt Row and ASU crowd had a blast. Even better, I can't remember any incidents in the news around this one either. One of my high school buddy's restaurants had a booth and he said he had a blast.

That is always a great festival! Just want to clarify, though, that it actually happened a month ago. (It was the first weekend of March)

Last weekend was the 3-day final Four music festival which was also a great event and a week before MMMF was another good one called Viva Phoenix.
