So my family and I are thinking of moving to Mesa from Scottsdale. We have lived in Scottsdale for the last 5 years. We love many things about Scottsdale, such as the safe and clean environment, restaurants and gyms, good service, quality schools, and easy commute. However, the lack of children and sense of community is driving the move. We are LDS so that is also a factor (our church boundaries in Scottsdale are enormous and people only see each other on Sundays). We are looking for a neighborhood in Mesa with school age kids that is welcoming to newcomers, with a strong sense of community. A couple of my kids are high-school age and we are targeting a single story home within the Mountain View high school boundaries. We are thinking of Trovita Estates or similar neighborhoods in northeast Mesa. Any insights or recommendations are appreciated. Thanks
