Howdy...I'm going to be exploring the Phoenix Metro area (staying in Scottsdale) arriving late Aug 15 and leaving early Aug 22. I'm going to be touring a couple of the active retirement communities and meeting with a friend who lives in the Metro as well as exploring the area around the condo I've rented in Scottsdale for three months this winter. (I just want to get a little more familiar with the Metro prior to my winter stay.)

I'm wondering if any of you longer time residents who have some good knowledge of the pros and cons of retirement communities and well as just a nice general knowledge of the Phoenix Metro are might be willing to take an hour or so to meet with me for coffee to informally discuss the above.

You folks have given me some great info already, and if you are willing to take an hour or so out to chat, that'd be great. Please send me a Direct Message if interested. I don't have a ton of extra time, but I'm sure we can work out a time if someone here is willing.

Thanks!!

Totally agree. There are also several RE agents who specialize in the 55+ communities.

Good! If it's the gentleman who posted on CD about his multi-year search, you're in good hands.
