If you really want to live in the midtown area but work in Chandler, try to negotiate flex time. The traffic isn't that bad here in the mornings after 9:00 am, and in the evenings after 6:00 pm.

I live near Central and Thomas and worked for a while near Price and Germann. The commute was about a half hour. The afternoon was worse than the morning. I-10 in the afternoon was better than the 202.

I will be looking in the Willo district for a place to live in Jan. I love that you are so close to the light rail.
