My daughter will be turning 16 next month and I would love any ideas for a party or fun things to do. She loves art and science and cats. Her dad passed away recently and I really want to make this special for her as we have had a tough year. She is a great kid! Thanks for any advice

Rent a hall and throw her a party with food and music and invite all her family/friends and of course have photography there. Girls love that.

I agree, Pelon. Those quinceañera debuts are pretty spectacular! It's quite a social event.

My teenager is a crazy cat lady in training and she wants to have her next birthday party at La Gattara, the cat café in Tempe. They do "paint parties" (where an artist leads everyone in painting a picture featuring a cat, of course, that they take home) and the guests can play with the kittens and cats (all of whom are available for adoption). The owner is very involved in cat rescue work and my daughter says it makes her feel good knowing the money we will spend on a party goes to help kitties find their forever homes (plus a room full of cats to play with is her idea of heaven).
