Pre-Fall are released between Spring and Fall and are essentially warm weather clothes in fall colors.

I know in the Fashion and Beauty forum it seems like the typical preference is Fall, but I would like to see what the local preference is. If anyone prefers Resort/Cruise or Pre-Fall those options are also valid.
Why are you leaving out summer and winter fashion? Just because we live in the Phoenix area winter fashion should also be valid. We just can't enjoy it very long.

Seriously, I want my 2 minutes back.

That is because the typical fashion calendar operates on a Spring and Fall cycle, with Pre-Fall and Resort/Cruise added in for some high-end women's lines. Summer clothes are included with Spring, while winter clothes are included with Fall. Note however that within the Spring and Fall collections, there are a few products added mid-cycle, with true summer clothes often added around April and more heavyweight winter clothes often added around September, however, such products are not usually considered to be separate seasonal collections.

Not to a fashionista. Spring would be lightweight and short sleeve in bright colors, and "fall" would be lightweight with long sleeve and darker colors.

For most fashion companies, Fall collections also usually include winter clothes. However, some higher-end fashion brands have decided to split Fall into two seasons - Pre-Fall and Fall, with warmer weather clothes included in Pre-Fall and colder weather clothes included in Fall. This was largely done to better accommodate buyers in warmer climates to introduce a greater selection of warmer weather clothes in fall colors, where the season is shorter to wear the colder weather Fall products. Pre-Fall usually hits stores in May.

I wear my Spring IZOD polos year-round, but I don't wear my Fall IZOD fleeces year-round. However, now I have a one IZOD Advantage Polo in a Fall color (Fig, a deep brownish-purple), as well as some Fall IZOD button-downs (an Advantage Stretch Plaid in Saltwater Red, a Heritage Essentials Windowpane button-down in Agate Green, and two solid Heritage Essentials button-down shirts in Saltwater Red and North Sea) that I could wear year-round.

I'm usually a Carhartt or Wrangler guy, PJ... but does this IZOD company do anything in western wear, as far as you know -- or would that take them out of their element?

Lol, this is a San Francisco conundrum too -- dress for the fashion season or dress for the weather, which can be drastically different from one side of the city to the other, day to day, neighborhood to neighborhood. We are the land of micro-climates.

Jeans, t-shirt and a hoodie are the standard uniform around here. Layers are the norm. Something you can pull on and off all day long, stuff in a backpack or tote. No truly cold days, very few hot days, wind in our neighborhood kicks up late afternoon every day...no fog for us, but definitely socked in by fog half the year west of Divis.

But the little old ladies in Pac Hts. will drag out those fur coats every "winter", regardless of the actual temps. Crazy.

I used to joke when I lived in Tampa that the summer clothes had short sleeves, and the winter clothes had 3/4 length sleeves. Other than differences in color shading, that was it for the "season clothing flip". Same here. Although it was chilly enough these past few days that I had to find some sweaters. Most of my heavier stuff is still in storage in ABQ.
